Welcome to Mereldia

Greetings dear wayfarer. Let me tell you a story. The story of our world. You have not always been sentient, but your distant ancestors have been nothing but simple witless animals. They roamed Mereldia even after the creatures that ruled the world before us have gone extinct. The Aos Sí, that came from Tír na nÓg, have lead you out of your misery, taught you the gift of sentience and so you learned to worship them as gods. When they held war, we lost those of them who turned their eye to the dark arts. You learned to rule yourselves from then on and now you live how you live, in cities or on your own. But pay heed, dear child, for this is not the end of the story. Fae still roam this world. Not only them, but also monsters, demons and even the cursed ones, that cannot be helped anymore. Most say they want your death, but you mortals are by far no saints, so how can you blame them? My child, I fear this is not the end, but rather the beginning of the story.

Are you of the shee? The fae? Then hide, my child, for this world is not safe for you! Are you sentient? A mortal? Then take care, for they also want your life and soul.

I have seen all. The rise, the fall, the war. I have seen the world recover and now I see the brink of a new war that could destroy it again. I am Fayna and you will not remember me. For I do not belong into this realm anymore.

This roleplay game is divided into two groups on deviantART ("Caspanas-RPG" and "Fairy-Lands") but both groups are played in the same universe. The division has been made to seperate the two much different contents of normal city life and fairies from each other. Interaction between characters of those two groups is of course possible!
