Stages
The Stages are the levels of your character. Since we already refer to the magic in levels, we called them stages to have different words for each of them. Your character's total count of Gold Shards determines what stage they are on. What each stage brings can be seen in the list down below. Keep in mind that you always can only choose ONE option of the ones or-option. There is also the option to not choose anything at all if you do not like the options you are presented with. Please keep track of your stages since you need to know what stage your character is on for several things like for example shop items or the keypoints.
Stage 1

You can now increase a unique ability of your choice by 10%
Stage 2
50
You can now purchase life items from the shop
You can let your character choose an ability from the basic ability set
Stage 3
65
You are now able to purchase a magic key and therefore unlock your character's magic.
Stage 4
80
You receive a Lore Key. With this your character will get to know some lore that is unknown by other characters. Note the group and we will give you a piece of future lore which you are not allowed to tell anyone. For your character this will be like a vision. It will come in handy in the next Objective.

You are now allowed to purchase a phoenix feather

You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can receive a Crystal Key. With that your character can gain an important role in the next Objective.

You can let your character be able to learn an ability of the advanced ability set if you have not chosen that on the stage before
Stage 8
200
You can receive a Fire Ruby (temporary increases powers of all kind for a day)
You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
Stage 9
240
You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can choose an ability you didn't choose before from either the basic ability set or the advanced ability set
Stage 10
300
You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
Stage 11
365
You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
Your character can either receive a Locked Chest. It has 50 Vend inside.

You can let your character choose an ability from the rare ability set
Stage 12

You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can change your rank (like from lower class to middle, free soul to wanderer, unavailable for "closed" ranks like for Heranors, they cannot go from normal to elite)
You can get a free accessory
Stage 13

You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can let your character choose an ability from the rare ability set if you have not chosen that before
or
You may invent your own magical artifact and let your character own it (you of course were also allowed to create magical artifacts before, but now your character actually is allowed to owe and use it too)
Stage 14
680
You earn a Crystal (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can let your character choose an ability from the divine ability set
or
You can obtain Immortality Poison from a local witch and turn your character fae and therefore immortal with it. They can also alter their own physical age this way in any way they please. Please note that this process is not reversible unless your character kills themselves. (cannot work for characters that are already fae)
Stage 15

You earn two Crystals (only when your character's magic is unlocked)
You can let your character choose an ability from the divine ability set if you have not chosen that on the stage before
or
You receive a secret item
